Scheduling: We will match your project with a contracted handyman possessing the exact skills required for your job. We will then contact you to schedule a specific date and time for your visit.
Rescheduling: If you need to change your appointment, simply contact our main office, and we will happily reschedule at your earliest convenience.
On-Site Assessment & Free Estimate: Once the handyman arrives, they will assess the scope of work. They will then coordinate with our office to provide you with an exact, FREE upfront estimate.
Getting to Work: If you agree to the price, the handyman is often prepared to begin immediately and stay until the job is complete, or we can schedule the labor for a later date that fits your calendar.
Project Completion & Payment: Upon completion and your total approval of the job, payment is made directly to Valknut Ventures. Making payment to our company secures your lien rights and officially activates your One-Year Written Warranty.
📋 FREE ESTIMATES
Prepare Your List: We recommend making a list of all tasks you would like quoted before the handyman arrives to maximize the efficiency of your free estimate.
Upfront Pricing: The contracted handyman will assess the job or jobs on-site, and coordinate with our office to give you a locked-in project price.
Ready to Roll: Our craftsmen arrive ready to begin your job immediately and will stay until it is completed to your satisfaction.
Authorized Approval: Please sign the Valknut Ventures contract/invoice of work to be completed before the handyman begins labor.
Peace of Mind: All craftsman labor is backed by our signature One-Year Written Warranty.
💳 PAYMENT TERMS
Satisfaction First: PLEASE DO NOT PAY until the job is completed to your satisfaction.
Progress Payments: For larger, multi-stage projects, milestone payments (equaling a percentage of work completed) may be arranged in advance exclusively through the Valknut Ventures office.
Accepted Forms of Payment: We accept Personal Checks, Cashier’s Checks, and all major Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
Note: Payments made via Credit Card are subject to a 4% processing/handling fee.
Returned Check Fee: $25.00.
Pay the Office: All checks and payments must be made payable to Valknut Ventures, never directly to the individual handyman.
🔨 MATERIALS & SUPPLIES
Labor Only Quotes: All estimates provided are for labor only. Materials required for the job are additional.
Material Sourcing: You are welcome to supply your own materials, or the handyman can purchase the necessary materials for you.
Zero Material Markup: If the handyman purchases materials, you will be shown the direct retail receipts. Valknut Ventures adds no markup to materials, keeping your costs as low as possible.
Material Reimbursements: To keep projects moving smoothly, an immediate reimbursement is due to Valknut Ventures when material receipt totals exceed $100. All materials will be itemized on your final invoice.
Estimates vs. Guarantees: While we can offer a "guesstimate" on material costs beforehand, we cannot guarantee the retail price of materials.
🏷️ COUPONS & DISCOUNTS
Coupons and promotional discounts apply strictly to labor costs, not materials.
Discounts must be applied at the time of payment for a job (or a series of continuously performed jobs) and cannot be applied retroactively.
🔍 CONCEALED OR UNKNOWN PROBLEMS
If hidden, concealed, or structural problems are discovered once work begins (such as hidden water damage, mold, or faulty wiring), the handyman will immediately stop all work. They will advise you and our central office of the situation, and wait for your official direction and approval on how to proceed before any additional work is performed.
