At Valknut Ventures, we take immense pride in the quality of our contracted craftsmen. To demonstrate our commitment to excellence and honest customer service, we back our network's labor with a comprehensive One-Year Written Warranty.
Email Warranty@ValknutVentures.com with any concerns about previous work provided.
Valknut Ventures of Morris County is locally owned, operated, licensed, and insured. For your peace of mind and budget protection, all projects are priced transparently by the job, not by the hour.
Valknut Ventures will repair, free of charge, any defects in craftsmanship performed under contract for one (1) full year.
Warranty Terms & Conditions:
Labor Only: This warranty applies strictly to labor and workmanship. It does not apply to material failures, normal wear and tear, acts of God (weather damage, natural disasters), or a subsequent change of mind by the Customer.
Activation: The warranty becomes legally effective only when complete payment has been successfully credited to Valknut Ventures’ account.
Voiding the Warranty:
Any separate, direct, or incomplete payment made to the individual contracted handyman (rather than to the Valknut Ventures office) immediately voids the warranty.
If the Customer or a third-party contractor modifies, alters, or tampers with the work performed by Valknut Ventures in any way, the warranty is void.
Remediation: Warranty work is to be performed by the original contracted handyman, if available. Valknut Ventures reserves the right to refund a portion of the project cost in lieu of warranty work or project completion.
Non-Transferable: Neither this warranty nor the project contract is transferable to new homeowners or third parties. All claims must be accompanied by the original contract.
Extensions: Performance of warranty work does not extend the original one-year warranty period.
đźš« Strict Warranty Exclusions
Certain types of maintenance and minor repair work are inherently prone to shifting, settling, or environmental wear and are excluded from this warranty. This includes, but is not limited to:
Caulking, grouting, and drywall cracks.
Blocked plumbing or drain lines.
Roof repairs, gutter guards, and leaks of any type (unless the entire fixture or unit is completely replaced, such as a new faucet installation).
Sourcing & Approvals
Estimates are provided for labor only and do not include the cost of materials.
Customers may supply their own materials or request that Valknut Ventures’ contracted handyman purchase and transport them.
Valknut Ventures reserves the right to approve Customer-supplied materials before installation. Conversely, the Customer must approve all materials supplied by the handyman prior to use.
Reimbursements & Fees
The Customer agrees to fully reimburse Valknut Ventures for all materials purchased or supplied for the project.
"Materials" may include, but are not limited to: raw project materials, consumable tools (e.g., sandpaper), specialty tool rentals, delivery charges, and waste/dump fees.
Valknut Ventures provides no warranty on materials, and no material reimbursements will be issued under any circumstances. If materials are found to be manufacturer-defective through no fault of the handyman, additional labor costs may be required to remove and replace them.
Aesthetics & Matching
All selections regarding style, color, texture, and finishes are the sole responsibility of the Customer.
Valknut Ventures does not guarantee an exact match to existing paint, stain, tile, caulk, grout, texture, brick, or mortar.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the written contract, all painting estimates are for one coat of paint only.
Permits & Logistics
Obtaining local Morris County building permits, arranging utility flagging (Call 811), and final debris/trash removal are the sole responsibility of the Customer unless otherwise explicitly negotiated and stated on the Contract.
Written Revisions: All changes, additions, or modifications to the original contract must be made in writing and initialed by the Customer.
Concealed Problems: If hidden or unknown structural, electrical, or plumbing issues are discovered during construction, the handyman will halt work immediately, and a revised re-bid will be presented to the customer.
Estimate Validity: Estimates are valid for 30 days and are explicitly based on the availability of the specific contracted handyman assigned. If that craftsman becomes unavailable for any reason, a new estimate may be required.
Availability & Cancellations: If the handyman’s association with Valknut Ventures terminates, if they become unavailable, or if the Customer requests a change in personnel, either party may cancel the contract. In these scenarios, payment will be due strictly for the percentage of work completed up to that point.
Binding Arbitration: If any dispute arises between the parties (other than nonpayment by the Customer) and cannot be resolved amicably, the Customer agrees to settle the matter through binding arbitration.
Legal Fees: The prevailing party in any dispute agrees to pay all collection fees, legal fees, and court costs resulting from the dispute.
Entire Agreement: This contract supersedes all previous contracts, oral or written agreements, and promotional advertisements. There are no other warranties or guarantees expressed or implied, and Valknut Ventures assumes no liability for consequential or incidental damages of any kind. Any verbal representations made by the individual handyman that differ from the written contract are hereby disclaimed.
Authorization to Begin: The Customer’s signature next to a specific job line-item authorizes the contracted handyman to begin work immediately.
Payment Due: Payment in full is due immediately upon completion of the work authorized under the contract.
Final Acceptance: The Customer’s final signature on the contract indicates that they have thoroughly inspected and accepted the quality and completion of all work performed.
Returned Check Fee: A surcharge of $25.00 will be assessed on all returned checks.
